In reply to Julieta GB. As far as I can tell it's just made with ice water. People carry around mate sets just like in Argentina, but instead of a small thermos, it's a bigger one that can hold lots of ice, and when you go to a store or cafe to refill it, instead of getting hot water, they fill it up with ice cubes and just a little water.

Never had a terere. It´s a nice option with a flavored water, I always heard it was made with orange juice.
