Now that we’re back out and about and doing things and going places, we’ve started to pack in some “culture”. Last month, actually, all within one week, we hit up three events, of very different sorts.
Henry was invited to dance with another dance company at the Carnavale Andino, held at the Amphitheater in Parque Centenario.
Our friend, Maria Castillo de Lima, is an opera singer at Teatro Colón. For a little post-Valentine’s Day concert, she arranged with a few of her co-singers from the opera to put on a concert of boleros in her home one evening.
And, a few months ago, when I saw that the Imagine Van Gogh exhibit was coming to town, I grabbed a couple of tickets for us. Wow! Held at the La Rural exhibition center.
That was all enough to get the cultural curiosity juices flowing again!
