I accept your volunteering!

That was the article I mentioned in my write-up, I just couldn’t find it. I understand why so many places have a ton of futbol memorabilia, but understanding it doesn’t make it any less cluttered looking!

And yes, like the lunch promos that have combos with pizza and beer, there are happy hour ones too!

It explains why the football memorabilia, the story behind the pizzeria and their plans for the future. The best think about it is that between 7 and 8PM there is 2×1 on the pint of beer, which is a steal! Nothing fancy (I can’t remember which brand it is, maybe Imperial) but still a great value for the money. I live near their new place in Palermo but it is not the same thing (no atmosphere as far as I can tell from the street and grumpy staff) and it has a reduced menu than the original location.

Keep up the good work! I volunteer to come with you for the next round at La Guitarrita! 😉

Other than a few scattered major brands, there’s very little imported beer here… yet. It’s all local. It’s not just the taxation, which has gone down under the new administration, but that there are decades of import controls on what can be brought into the country – and food and beverage are probably the most tightly controlled.

Beer is definitely popular, and the whole new craft beer movement (barely two years old as “a thing”) has just added to that.

Is it the same with beer? Is beer as popular there as in the U.S.?

I’m glad that pizza place turned out to be so good. After all that walking it would have been depressing if it had been awful.
