Never let it be said that consumers don’t wield some influence. I’m not sure anyone ever said that, but never let it be said. Apparently enough of us really missed the nigiri moriawase, the selection of different nigiris at Maki Sushi that they not only brought it back, but now offer either 8 or 12 pieces, and…, the same for a sashimi selection. It’s not a wide selection, it’s equal amounts of salmon, white fish of the day, prawn, and octopus, but it’s just nice to not have to get 5 or 6 of one individual type of nigiri or sashimi, which is the standard way most local sushi bars approach it.
