Oscar – I thought about it and decided I could give a shot at adding a scrolling marquee to the sidebar of things I hear about. It’s a bit rudimentary, and we’ll see if I can keep up with entering stuff – there are always so many things going on in and around town! I hope it helps!

I actually use two very simple ways to find out – Each week, I take a look at the city’s festival listings on the Agenda Cultural page – I just click on the day/date that I’m free to do stuff, and then pick “Aire Libre” for outdoor stuff and see what pops up (they also have a smartphone app that you can do the same thing on, called BA Cultural (same goes, btw, for things like museum exhibitions, art shows, etc., just pick those categories), and specifically a calendar of all the upcoming “comunidad” festivales at BA Celebra. (This weekend – Mexico on Saturday and Paraguay on Sunday, French festival both days, and a K-pop festival too.) And the other, is I subscribe to the daily food/wine newsletter for local events called Gastronomiconet – every morning I get a round-up of things related to gastronomy, both news, and announcements. (This weekend – Tigre gastronomy festival all weekend, Palermo beer festival on Sunday, and also all weekend the Feria del Prodoctor al Consumidor at the school of agronomy.)

Although I don’t post these things in advance on the blog (I suppose I could create a little sidebar box with upcoming events) – I do on my twitter feed, so if you use twitter you could connect with me there too.
