The room […]

Sorry you had such a bad time there. They never had outdoor seating before, so that’s new…. I would say that New Year’s Eve is not the best night to judge a restaurant for what it normally offers. More expensive, and generally the staff hate that they have to be working (one of the reasons we stopped offering holiday dinners at our place), generally leads to a far less than optimal experience. I continue to like the place a lot, but would only go on a “normal” night, at normal prices. Though, even that has always been expensive – something I note in this review from ten years ago. It’s one of the pricier restaurants in BA, and has been since it opened. I’ve always felt it was worth it as a splurge night out, not some place I go to regularly. And even that has gotten more expensive – setting aside the ridiculous changes in Argentine currency valuation (which has taken plates that ran about 85 pesos ten years ago and turned them into 15000 pesos today), in dollar terms prices at Mishiguene have near doubled (about 80-90% increase over the decade).
