That’s far too cynical of a viewpoint for me. In six years here, that’s the first time that something of that sort has happened to us, it was just amusing that it did.

Two important lessons here. 1) Always have exact change when going out in BA for that reason. 2) Never do anything in an attempt to make things “easier” as it will label you a sucker, regardless of how good your castellano is.
