My point really was just to make sure you check out Dell’Anima and L’Artusi… but of course you already have!

Oh sorry, I actually crossed names on that with two different chefs whom I know – Joey Campanaro is Little Owl’s chef, just made the correction to the post – what’s two little letters between friends? I know the other two restaurants well, thanks – in town through next Thursday night.

However, I can’t help but step in with a small but important correction re: Little Owl: as great as the place is, it is not one of Joey Campanale’s restaurants. Joe is the rockstar Sommelier/Owner of Dell’Anima and L’Artusi (along with Chef Gabe Thompson), two West Village Italian spots that you MUST check out while you’re here. Let me know if you want to meet at either for a glass of vino and I”ll properly introduce you. How long are you in town for, anyway?

Ah, such memories. Enjoy your visit. Unfortunately my favorite restaurants have recently closed, so I don’t have any recommendations for you. But enjoy nonetheless!!
