Dropped in to this spot for brunch a week ago when the place that we had planned on turned out to be so understaffed that it looked like it could be more than an hour until we got to eat. Cusic offers several simple but rather pleasant brunch options – as it turned out, the three of us all wanted the same thing and ended up with a generous portion of soft scrambled eggs, really good steak fries, bacon, fresh fruit, coffee and freshly squeezed juices. Not remembering that I’d tried the bagel here already we ordered one with butter to share – it’s still pretty much a bread roll with a hole poked through the middle. But the brunch was at least a step up from the lunch, though still nothing to get excited about.

Right on the money with the description of everything. I may not remember the address, luckily for me you jotted it down on your post, but I will remember to order other breads other than bagels.

Actually, most coffee in BA is mediocre. It’s all imported, often fairly cheap quality, has been sitting around too long, and is rarely brewed right. One of the most common “expat complaints” I hear here. The salad on the other hand, no excuse.

Buen dia! I get your entire post in my email so don’t always visit the site and comment. Just wanted to drop in and say good morning! And here’s my comment: it takes only slightly more time to do it right and it is so much more satisfying… so mediocre food prep is more annoying to me than outright bad food prep! This sounds better than mediocre but with a little effort, that salad could have been fresher and the coffee… give me a break. There’s no excuse for poor coffee in Costa Rica or B.A.!!! Pura vida!
