By: dan https://www.saltshaker.net/20070629/butter-syrup#comment-219537 Sun, 07 Jul 2013 18:34:17 +0000 https://www.saltshaker.net/20070629/butter-syrup#comment-219537 These days, Sirop’s brunch costs ar$290 for two and consists of a first round that consists of some sliced plain bread on a small board accompanied by a small scoop of unseasoned eggplant puree, and a plate of cured ham, terrine & pate, smoked salmon and cheeses to share that’s roughly 2/3 the size of the one cheese/meat plate above, followed by round 2, a bowl of scrambled eggs – sans bacon now, and a bowl of crushed roasted potatoes with sour cream, and a small spinach gratin, and then a small dessert to share. Still doesn’t include any beverages. Given that increase in cost and reduction in size, that makes this well over 5x the cost in just over six years.

Sirop - Eggs & Potatoes

Personal recommendation is order the eggs and the crushed potatoes all on their own (and one order of the potatoes can be split by two), which are 38 pesos apiece. Plenty of food for breakfast/brunch and a far better deal. They also still have my favorite lomo sandwich in the city, though that’s up in price now to 70 pesos from 54 just a year ago yesterday.
