Really cool site you have there! I was looking up errata on James
Peterson's Cooking book and came across your page. Don't ask?!

I lived in BsAs for 4 years from 1998 - 2001. The best Mexican place
at that time (and I've eaten there since) was Xalapa which is in
Palermo Viejo.

I'll be back in Buenos Aires with my Argentine wife in November. If
you're still going strong, then, we'd love to check out your "puertas
cerradas".

I get to Montevideo about once a year or a little more, though generally, given that I don't live there, the first thing I do is head out for a chivito uruguayo at Chivitos Marcos... and then maybe some seafood either at the port or at El Viejo y El Mar... hmmm... I think it's time for a visit...

I live across the River from you and am so frustrated with the lack of ethnic food, too!
We had Mexican the other night and it was great because we miss it, but can't compare to all the Mexican places I used to go to in Chicago.
Am glad I found your site and will link it to mine because you are a great source of info.
If you come to MVD ever, let me know!
