Well, now, wait for the next post(s) - the real events happen in Mendoza, around the wineries and in the heart of wine country. At the same time, as you'll see, it's still a big wine show for folks with a fair amount of wealth to come and mingle and talk about wine, and, well, the kind of folk who like a certain "level of service" - truly, I don't hold one snooty manager against the Park Hyatt chain, especially because everyone else involved at both the Buenos Aires and Mendoza hotels was friendly, helpful, and for the key players, went out of their way to apologize for this guy's attitude. I don't think you can lay this on the Wine Spectator - they're one of the event's main sponsors, along with others - but they don't run it - in fact, other than having their name on the final night gala dinner as the evening's sponsor, they weren't even in evidence during the entire show.

Well, it sure sounds like I didn't miss too much by not attending this event, even though I'm sorry I didn't because then I could have visited you and seen BA again. The Spectator certainly brings its haughty attitude wherever it goes. I love the remark you posted from the Wine Collector.
