Even your grumpy blogs are worth my time to read.

Why else would you write a blog, if not for yourself? I guess there are are few delusionoids trying to set themselves up for book deals, or some other fantastic reason. But for most of us, its because we enjoy the process of writing and the sound of our own voices. And idiot internet anonymyns shouldn’t take that away from us.

If I didn’t have the restaurant, I’d probably take my e-mail address off the blog as well, but, some things have their tradeoffs.

I’m feeling much better this morning about it all, everyone’s been quite supportive, thank you all! Who knows, maybe the whinging folk took my advice and went elsewhere? Hmmm… I just had a thought, maybe if they come back, I’ll start posting their messages along with their names and e-mail addresses…

I got this delightful poem just a few minutes ago from one reader, via e-mail, but I”m going to post it here:

The FINAL Analysis

And I took my email address off my blog. If someone wants to write me, they have to comment. Then I can comment back or dismiss… Having to be an asshole ON the blog, IN FRONT of everyone else cuts down on the whiner quotient.

I’m starting to worry that I’m missing something now… how could you piss people off talking about FOOD?

I always wondered what these folks did before there were blogs on which to complain? Are they really upset or is this just their way of relating to the outside world? I wonder what they are like in person?

You’re absolutely right, and that was part of what I was trying to say. This was just a particularly bad morning, after receiving half a dozen e-mails in just the last day or so that truly I would have liked to simply blast the writers off the internet - and I’m getting a little tired of feeling like I have to defend my right to write what I want.

I could understand it if I was writing a controversial political blog or something, but for goodness sake, it’s about food, wine, and wandering about!
