Hard to say I understated how bad the place is when I didn't state any such thing - noting that five years ago when I reviewed it, I liked the place. It may have changed since then, but I've heard virtually all positive reviews over that time, with only rare exceptions like yours, and it has almost universally positive online reviews. As to price, keep in mind that I recommended the three course lunch special as a good deal, not ordering a la carte, nor at dinner time, as I hadn't tried either.

While I appreciate your admonition, and it's not at all personal, there are just too many places out there for me to constantly go back and re-review places just because one or two people didn't like them when the majority do - I'd never get to anywhere new in the few meals out each week that I have time for.

Wow, this really understates how god awful this restaurant is! Our Horrible salmon (almost dangerously fishy) with a side of spinach that tasted like seaweed, an inedibley ravioli with mushrooms, as if it has been burnt in cream. We use your site as our guide so please review this one again so no one has to experinece this. It was not cheap.

Interestingly, despite my assertion at the end that I'd give the place another go at dinner time, I've not been back in the intervening four years, and it's only a few block walk from my house, so that kind of tells you where, at least mentally, I put it. We also only had pasta dishes, which weren't bad, but we didn't try anything else. I think you certainly, based on my one shot there, made a good call on the dessert skipping.

We ate here on 27 Dec 2010, and we were disappointed. Ravioli filled with a delicious osso buco were so overcooked that they fell apart. What passes for parmesan cheese is tasteless shreds of something soft and yellow . Our vino tinto was served too warm to drink without several minutes in an ice bucket. The "veal" in the saltimbocca was a thick slice of tough beef. We skipped dessert and headed for Un Altra Volta.
