Mika, I've had plenty of Bolivian food that's been very good, don't worry. This was just one poor quality restaurant here in Buenos Aires (we're in Argentina, not in Bolivia, though perhaps one day we'll get to try the two restaurants you recommend in La Paz).

Hi this is Mika.

I feel sorry to hear that u didnt have a good experience with bolivian food.. U should keep trying in other places because actually pique a la macho is a pretty good testy dish. If i were u i definitly would go to adobes del sur or la tranquera, these both restaurants are more carefull with what they serve.

Enjoy mi country, hope u like it.. Im a bolivian girl living in usa missing all my good food. Im already so tired of this bad burgers lol.

Take care.

Dan,

Thanks for the tip about Rancho Grande. I pass through Liniers almost every day and I'm tempted to have some Bolivian food, but don't know how the quality is, this comment tells me where not to go.

By the way, just two things. Liniers is not a suburb, it's a barrio within the city of Buenos Aires, and it's not northern, it's western.

And keep cooking your pasta al dente and your beef rare!
