hahahah, hey guys, i've worked at el salto for nearly 6 months in 2005, and it's true, the only mexican thing about that place is the decoration, the rest, mmmm, the owners have no clue what real mexican food is all about, they just want to be recognized as maybe the first restaurant owners to open a mexican place in buenos aires.
Let's go to the kitchen, how the hell are you going to cook mexican food when the whole kitchen staff is from paraguay????, and by the way, i don't want to scare you, but if you go at 3 or 4 o'clock in the afternoon, you'll se a taxi parking in front of the place and the so called "cooks", emptying the cab, carrying frozen food that they get from maria felix in belgrano or san isidro, so, you guys are eating frozen food, just warmed up in an oven, or sauteed on the grill for 3 or 4 minutes, nasty, and by the way, at the time i was working there we had to tip the kitchen at the end of the night, unbelievable.....
I think the best part of the whole place was the bar, the drinks are very good, margaritas and i don't remember the rest, it's been a while, almost 2 years, so, if you guys want to enjoy real mexican food, DON'T GO TO EL SALTO PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!, my best to all of you, sincerely......
