A Little Vino

Buenos Aires - A couple of recently sampled wines:

Rodas Colección 12 Sangiovese Rosé 2005 - Once again, ripe, dead-on varietal character from this line. Flavors of strawberry, cherry, and peach, perfect for a hot spring or summer evening. One of the better Sangiovese rosés I’ve had. Highly recommended.

San Telmo Sauvignon Blanc 2005 - This 30-year old winery produces a wide range of inexpensive varietal wines, often seen here as “house wines.” Not a particularly complex wine, it still shows decent varietal character with citrusy notes, a bit of grassiness, and a ripe, crisp, and dry style. Recommended.
